June Low is the project of Brisbane-based singer-songwriter, Emma White. Her music is an eclectic mix of folk, roots and indie-pop which combines rawness with translucent beauty. With a stirring voice, distinctive lyrics and adventurous acoustic guitar playing, June Low creates moods that are by turns meditative, unexpected and confronting.  Haunting cello lines, vocal harmonies, energetic violin parts and intricate drum fills also characterise the unique sound of June Low.

In Brisbane, June Low and her band have played at smaller venues like Junk Bar and they have also enjoyed playing to larger crowds at The Zoo.  Over the years, White has supported artists such as Deniz Tek (Radio Birdman), Mia Dyson and Jess McAvoy and has played shows nationally as well as in the UK.  Her most memorable gig was playing at a women’s prison in 2011 as part of a vigil to raise awareness of domestic violence.

Emma White’s debut EP, Rome, was released in February 2013 and has received airplay nationally.  In September June Low released debut digital single, ‘Alone’ along with a music video for this song.

Her debut album ‘Exhale’ produced by Skritch Trembles due for release in early-2015.  A national tour will follow.
